DIY Secret Hiding Place Number 5 – Inside the end of a curtain rod
This DIY secret hiding place uses a hollow curtain rod. Some curtain rods are not hollow and the won’t work. Obviously if you have blinds instead of curtains, this strategy won’t work for those either (but depending on how the blinds are designed, there may be other opportunities to create secret storage areas). Push some paper wadding tightly into the tube to prevent your rolled up money or coins from going too deep into the tube. If you want to insert rolled up documents, you could push the wadding deeper into the tube. This just takes a few minutes to implement and if your house is like mine, you could do it in all of your rooms if you wanted to (although I suggest you use different secret hiding places since if someone finds one they will check all similar locations).
